A Misa International Youth Foundation Program:
Growing Energy and Nutrition for Environmental Stability & Investments in our Societies
A Youth Initiative to Promote Gardening, Reforestation & Agri-business as a Foundation for Strong, Healthy Societies
G.E.N.E.S.I.S. is a collective of youth organizations that promote environmental improvements to local communities. The focus of this youth collective is to involve young people in projects to improve their surroundings by looking to Mother Nature to balance their lives. Central projects teach the basics of simple gardening for planting fruit and nut trees, vegetable and herb gardens. Community beautification projects to plant shade trees have the added advantage of air quality improvement, as well as rainfall and weather stabilization. The training in local communities in America prepare youth to carry these skills into many countries throughout the Globe, initially, Ghana, Ethiopia, South Africa, Nigeria, Haiti and other Caribbean Islands.
By sharing these skills with their comrades in other nations, participants form cross cultural bonds and establish future business relationships that will culminate in the creation of international trading partners featuring agribusiness developed from the initial projects sponsored by G.E.N.E.S.I.S.
Misa International Youth Foundation needs a network of volunteers with expertise in the following fields: health and nutrition, ethno-botany, horticulture, agriculture, local and international commerce and education. We can access many of the skilled volunteers by involving retirees, educators, and business owners. We can involve farmers who wish to expand their interest in working with the youth, and who are ready and willing to share their knowledge and wisdom with other cultures and other lands in order to develop agri-business partners on a world-wide basis.
